My Mini Cooper had a severely worn out transfer case after finding out about the issue from the dealership. On recommendation from a friend, I took the Mini to have its transfer case replaced. Eric and his team were incredibly helpful and very responsive by keeping me up to date with the status of the replacement and service as well as answering any additional questions.

During the replacement, I remembered that the dealership had indicated that there was another issue and I asked Eric to see if I could quickly add on this extra service since it was already at the shop. Eric handled the last minute additional request amazingly. He let me know that they could do the work with no issue. His team conducted tests and inspected the part and notified me that there were no issues at all.

When I picked up the car, it ran like new. I am extremely happy with their service and would highly recommend going to BYOC. I will definitely being going back to either service or conduct other work on my Mini!

You have to understand, this is not the place for you if your feelings are easily hurt or if you walk in clueless. This is definitely the place to go if you want fast, quality work at a price point that puts Costco to shame.  Get on Google, research a bit about tire sizing and figure out what works best for your car and needs, let Philip know and he will hook you up.

I wanted to wait a couple of days before I wrote a review to make sure my AC was fixed and not just temporarily working.

Back Story:
2014 Subaru Impreza Hatch base model

I took my car into Subaru in San Jose off Capitol with an AC issue. When on it would randomly blow hot air, and when off it would randomly blow cold air. Long story short, I had to go back to Subaru twice to “fix” this issue. On the final visit, they assured me it wasn’t my compressor and they fixed the problem. On my drive home, I experienced the same problem I was having to begin with. By this point, I was pretty frustrated and had wasted a bunch of my time for nothing. I took my car to get a quote at a local body shop. They quoted me the cost to fix. Low and behold it was my compressor, however, their charges were so erroneous I had to get a second opinion. I Yelped different auto shops and reached out to Eric at BYOC. I send him an email outlining my problem, frustration, as well as sending all the document of past work from Subaru along with the new quote. He was compassionate and understanding.  Not only was the price he gave me about $600 less than the other place, but he also fixed my problem in only 4 hours of drop off.

Super happy, my AC now blows cold air when on and stays off when off. Thank you!

Great first time experience after new management.

Unfortunately, I had to come yesterday after my Mini Cooper S decided to make a weird ‘put put’ noise and decreased engine output from accelerating a bit aggressively. Luckily, I was able to come in BYOC and had a pleasure to speak to, Eric. His shop was closing soon so I let the vehicle with them overnight and first thing in the morning I was left with a message stating that the car had one faulty ignition coil so after he confirmed with me, the car was ready before noon.

Overall, Eric is very knowledgeable and is an expert in a variety of car brands and one of them are Mini!
